The farmer bought a brand new roomy house,
but found a problem he could not relieve;
he went to great lengths to remove a mouse.

He bought a cat to chase after the mouse,
and when it did, the cat would just not leave.

with that old cat and that old dirty mouse,
he bought a dog to make that old cat leave.

And when the dog chased kitty from the house,
the dog remained around and would not leave.
