a garden filled with sweetest air and light
this is our dream but we shall not achieve
we need the contrast between day and night
our enemies are not driven by spite
but by some needs that any would believe
a garden filled with sweetest air and light
the purpose is contained within the rite
and for its coming many have to grieve
we need the contrast between day and night
once in the morning everything was bright
we could inhabit foolish and naĆÆve
a garden filled with sweetest air and light
we now survive not because but despite
all of the things in which you do believe
we need the contrast between day and night
we claim the universe as our birthright
and wipe our snotty noses on its sleeve
a garden filled with sweetest air and light
we need the contrast between day and night
