a man's not certain till he learns the dance
of all the magics known to human folk
that is the least accessible to chance
secrets of science secrets of finance
on these the normal mind will rarely choke
a man's not certain till he learns the dance
not much is visible to the first glance
but everyone reacts to a sharp poke
that is the least accessible to chance
we look straightforward and never askance
no sights there are our vision to evoke
a man's not certain till he learns the dance
the world swift narrows from a broad expanse
and it's not hard to hear a distant croak
that is the least accessible to chance
we think of magic as some vague romance
told by a mountebank just one more joke
a man's not certain till he learn's the dance
that is the least accessible to chance
